The unit has all the features of a gps plus a sonar.I have found it easier to determine bottom composition with the color screen
as compared to the old two tone screens. After my brother in law saw my unit he is now wanting to buy this series or the 900 series
sonar unit.
I like the fact that the unit can be upgraded using Humminbird's website. However, the plug adapter is not supplied
with the unit and needs to be purchased through Humminbird."
